hey guys,
I have a S&W SD9VE and I am left handed. I am looking for a holster that i can get that will let me have my light mount still attached. I came across the m&p Fobus Roto Tactical Speed Holster and i was seeing if my pistol can fit in that. does anyone know or know of any left handed holsters that I can find that can do just that? without being nylon or cheap like that? thank you.

You have to be careful with holsters that fit the M&P series, as some/most won't fit the SDVE series guns. I found that out myself, with my new SDVE. The trigger guard on the SDVE is just wider than the M&P, and most of the retention holsters, retain the trigger guard.

I bought the Fobus SWMP, which fits both the M&P and SDVE. The difference is in how the trigger guard clicks into the holster. The M&P has a very positive "click" when inserted; the SDVE has a "muted" click because of the width of the trigger guard. Still works and the retention is adjustable.

I also have a Blackhawk CQC Serpa and a DeSantis Speed Scabbard. The Serpa is one of the fastest holsters to draw from; the leather DeSantis is the most concealable. Is open top and has adjustable tension retention.

Good luck in your selection...
