Wow, Apex Flat Faced Forward Set Sear Kit
Really impressed by this trigger kit. I have a few M&Ps with Apex's other FSS kits, so I knew what to expect, but this is a notch above even those. Minimal pre-travel, quick reset, very easy to shoot fast and accurate. It's not the prettiest thing, but man does it run.
This will be my go to trigger for my Limited division M&Ps. Obviously it is not on par with SVI/STI SAO triggers, but easily the best striker fired handgun i've shot.
Got mine from Two Brothers Tactical with the fully polished option.
M&P Forward Set Sear & Flat Faced Trigger Kit - Aluminum (FSS) | Two Brothers Tactical
Pictures coming up soon. For now, here is a photo from Apex.

I just bought this same set up for my regular S&W 9 - but I haven't put it in yet, I am debating if I should put this in my regular 9 or buy a Pro w/5 inch and trade in mine ?

The FSS kit has not changed, just the shape of the trigger. The flat trigger is what many specialty trigger manufacturers are using for their rifle triggers. It seems the flat gives a better feeling pull, and even though the pull weight has not changed, the shape makes the pull weight feel lighter, as the leverage point is changed and the finger pulls more from the bottom of the trigger. Just what I have read about the flat triggers. I have not had a chance to try one yet.

I bought one and have had nothing but problems with it. Total waste of money. Took it all out of my pro and am very happy with my polished up stock 3.5lb pull. Very unreliable timing. Causes light strikes on the primer. Bad on match day! Save your money and keep it reliable.

This thread's a year old. Are you going to troll every Apex thread now?

I am very happy with the Apex FSS and aluminum trigger kit I installed in my FS M&P 9mm. I didn't have any trouble installing mine other than having to modify the sear housing block, which I knew I would have to do. I didn't even have to adjust the loop. Seems like there are a lot of people happy with Apex and just a few dissatisfied customers. Can't make everyone happy.

I guess you are right Can't make everyone happy. Just seems that for that kind of money, not cheap, you could engineer something that worked flawlessly. They don't stand behind their product either. Zero customer service!

If I had known that I would have such a headache with this Apex kit on my race gun, I never would have bought it. Just wish someone would have warned me.

So are you just ignoring Randy's offer of help here? Accuracy is coming: Apex M&P Barrels (post 108). If you don't know, Randy is Apex Tactical.

Based on my experience, I find it hard to believe that Apex is not willing to help. I contacted them before ordering my kit and they were certainly helpful. And, based on my experience, it did perform FLAWLESSLY, was/is well engineered, with very good fit and finish. I, too, would like to know if you contacted Randy Lee after his reply.

Yes. He doesn't want help. He just wants to vent about his perception.

When you call and get someone reading cue cards about a tech problem. Then call again because everything was double checked. Ask to talk to someone who doesn't need the cue cards, like maybe a real live gunsmith. Get told they will contact you. Never here anything. Emailed Apex for help. Never get a response. Is this what you mean about someone trying to help?
Maybe your perception of help is different than mine. I don't remember Randy ever offering help to me either. I'll check my messages again.

Maybe this is why you don't get help. When I call for free assistance, I'm polite. I understand that they first need to go through some basics. Most people miss the simple things. Rather than give them attitude, why not try a little patience?
Bkreutz, in post #10 in this thread, linked to the post where Randy offered to help.
