Good article with some very common sense checks.

I got a new gun for Christmas. I just got it back in August.

Same here - I got a Saiga IZ 132 while they were still available shortly after the Russian ban in mid July - always wanted a 7.62x39 AK variant, more specifically a Russian made Saiga or VEPR

Sweet! Right out of the Izhmash factory in Russia. Didn't do the full conversion, just switched out the Monte Carlo stock with the adjustable skeleton/thumbhole stock and added a tri-rail forend. Parts and mags are still readily available from US manufacturers. Since the above pic, I added an Arsenal SM-13 detachable scope mount and a Redfield Revoulution 4X12 40mm scope. Love my Russian lady!

I did get a new gun for Christmas, however I ordered it and had it sent to my house. It is a Reproduction 1851 Colt Navy Revolver. I like to do some Black Powder shooting.
