So I am a very happy owner of one of this very forums absolute first-purchased M&P22C 's.... and it's been amazing. Just keeps getting more reliable, more accurate, and more fun.
But here is the problem. I am noticing some marks that I guess are not quite "gouges" but I think "gouges" is the best way to describe them... along the slide rails on the underside of the slide. Like you can't see them while the firearm is assembled but when you field strip them, they're there. They are marks which have become shiny metal which clearly stick out because of the dark color everywhere else... And here is the real rub: I have seen and dismissed on this forum the very thing I am experiencing. Someone else posted this sometime between now and August when I got mine, and everyone dismissed it, and I said something like, I love my Gun, everyone else loves theirs, just shoot it.
I am not sure if this is normal and just a process of breaking in a gun or a problem. Because the slide is made of pretty weak metal from what I gather. and if it's going to become a problem I better do something about it sooner rather than later.
But so far, mechanically my gun is perfect. Shoots pretty much amazingly.
Thanks very much!
