Hey guys I've put 1200 rounds through my M&P 9mm and have decided on a rear blacked out sight and a red fiber optic front. Does anyone know the sight dimensions for the stock sights. I'm looking for the height and width of the front sight and the height and notch width of the rear sight, impossible to measure height while there on the gun. I would like to buy a set of Dawson Precision but would like to keep the same factory dimensions. I have called S&W 3 times on different days and none of there engineers know...which I find strange.

Saudade, the link you sent me is exactly what I ordered. Mike at Dawson said if I buy the complete set and they shoot high or low that he would send me a replacement front sight that would be shorter or taller depending what I need. Ill throw these on and bench it from 40 ft and see were they hit. Thanks again

Let us know how they work for you. I'm leaning towards these myself for my FS.

NP Saudade I'll keep you posted. Should be getting them in 3 days. I can tell you I originally purchased a front sight (red fiber optic) 160tall by 115wide only and loved the look and the red fiber optic looked on fire during the daylight hours and even indoors. However when I set the sight on the slide just in back of the factory sight it was the same height as the factory that was sitting in the dove tail, so I had to send it back and just went with the size recommended and the full set.
UPDATE..got the full set of Dawson precision sights installed. These sights are awesome. The blacked out serrated rear and the fiber optic front are some of the best Ive seen. I got the IMPACT GUARANTEE because I purchased a set. The set came with a rear at 235H 135W notch and a 180T 100w front red optic. at 40 ft it was shooting 2 inchs low. So I called them and they calculated that I need a 145H and shipped it out same day with no charge. And they don't want the old front sight back. Seems like a solid company to buy from. Very friendly.
received the 145H sight from Dawson Precision (no charge) after install benched it from 30 ft and its right on the money. if your looking for a great sight package check them out. Now the only thing left to do is the terrible trigger the M&P's come with. Looking at the Apex flat face trigger. there's a couple of you tube vids out and it looks good...but expensive. Anyone put one of these in yet, its a new product.
