Default New shield 9mm, CA compliant

So I fired 150 rounds through the Shield last week. No FTF, no FTE. There were 2 occasions after inserting the 2nd magazine, where the slide release was stuck and I had to manually rack the slide. A couple other times the slide release was just very tough and I had to reinforce the gun with my second hand to release it. The slide release was not smooth at all like on my glock. Any advice?
