Default M&P Pro 9mm - Suggested Reloads

I picked up an M&P 9mm Pro 5" barrel for my teenage sons.
We have never reloaded pistol rounds but plan too in the near future.
What reload recipes do you folks suggest for target shooting with this gun.
Thanks.

First question, what kind of shooting are you going to be doing? It makes a difference. For starting out handloading, I'd suggest the middle of the published load data. Using a recipe from the internet is not a wise idea unless you verify it with published data (or are very experienced with pushing past the limits)

First off, a lot depends on what actual powder you can come up with. As for bullets, I like either Bayou Bullets or Precision Delta, good results with both using Power Pistol.

I do not have a recipe, but my 5" M&P is twice as accurate shooting 147 gr bullets than it is shooting 115 gr bullets. Get a reloading manual and don't go over the published data.

Don't you know that using reloaded ammunition voids your warranty?

Actually, although I do reload I find the bulk 9mm from Walmart is darn near as cheap.
