M&P357
I haven't seen this model mentioned, I've seen a few for sale but don't know much about them. S&W doesn't show them on their website. Anyone have any comments on the. 357?

Try again, it's a 357 sig, search for model numbers 109005 or 209302.

I bought one at close-out sale prices just to monkey around with. My M&P357 shoots rings around the 9s and 40s I have fired, for some reason. And it has the typically lousy, gritty M&P trigger. Other than that - and being expensive to shoot - it's pretty unremarkable.
I bought a .40SW barrel for it, dropped it in, and it worked fine and shot close enough to POA that I was not unhappy when the experiment was over, considering what i paid for the gun.

Found it under those model numbers in the archives. Any idea why they are no longer in production?

Probably because it was not very popular due to ammunition costs/availabilty and such. I have heard rumor that the round was hard on the gun but I don't know that for sure.

Hmmm. I don't know anything about extraction problems. I wonder if the guns were kept clean, extractors properly tensioned, or maybe if ammunition was an issue? The story doesn't tell us much.
I have mainly used Remington 125-gr FMJ ammunition in my gun, and a small amount of Winchester bonded Rangers, but it has always been 100% and I consider it very accurate for a service-grade pistol. Of the small caliber M&Ps, it would be my first choice if accuracy was my main concern.

I bought a .357 Sig M&P used from a deputy who barely used it at all. It shoots great, no extraction problems at all. I also bought a used .40 barrel that to drop in and it has done great as well. I really love the .357 Sig round and I agree that it is the most accurate M&P. My trigger isn't gritty at all, so that's another plus.

The model title of the Model 13 revolver is ".357 Military and Police", and that of the Model 65 is ".357 Military and Police Stainless".

I have both M&P Model 13 .357 Revolver and M&P .357 C and I have absolutely no complaints. When I fire the C it definitely turns heads at the range. I have both replacement barrels .40 and 9mm with magazines.
