Great Deals on Handgun Ammo at SGAmmo.com
Hey guys,
I have NO association with this company other than being a first time customer, but they have some incredible prices.
For Example:
50 round box - 40 HST Federal LE 165 grain hollow point ammo - P40HST3
$23.95 for 50 rounds = 0.48/round
add $12 for shipping = 0.72/round
But I found that 2 boxes ships for the same price as 1 box.
So: (24x2 + 12) / 100 = 0.60/round
I have not seen anything close to this. All prices I have seen are > $1/round
Even at my local Walmart, which usually has excellent prices, their price for the HST 40 180gr is $28.57 for a box of 20 rounds, or $1.42/round.
Plus, they have the LE rounds I have not found elsewhere, like the one above.
If any of you have experience with this company/web site, please post your experience.
DISCLAIMER: I have ordered, but not received my order yet.
So all I know for sure is that their prices advertised on their web site are very low.

Well, you might know it. As soon as I made the above post, I find a cheaper vendor:
Federal Premium Tactical HST .40 S&W 165 Grain Hollow Point P40HST3 Ammo - 50 Rounds per Box
ammunitionsupplycompany.com
Cheaper in both product price and shipping.
So, for 2 boxes of 50-rounds, total including shipping: 0.54/round
But it's all good! At least two vendors with good ammo prices!
Maybe more!
If you know where to get ammo cheaper (including shipping), please share with us.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the only difference in the "LE rounds" is that they come in a 50 rd box. Most people that only shop retail stores are shocked to learn that they can get good SD ammo in a 50 rd box, since they cost almost the same as 25 rd boxes.

You can get 6 boxes for about the same shipping as 1.

i have bought from SGAMMO several times and love them. Got Gecco .22lr and also 9mm for a great price and SGAMMO processes your order quickly. usually ships out next day. Ammo wherehouse and amunitionsupply took much longer. All were equally priced. I usually use SG because of their speed and great service. Unless of course there is a reasonable price difference. YMMV

I did a quick search last night and SG seems to have the cheapest price on XM9001 right now.

Ditto on SGAmmo. You may be able to find slightly better prices elsewhere, but I trust SGAmmo and would rather pay a little more to them. Still a LOT cheaper than local!

Always had excellent luck at SGAmmo. WAY cheaper than LGS and big box stores, and even cheaper than my former go-to, BulkAmmo. Planning on getting some more .40 and 5.56 from them soon.

SG is definitely a reliable company. I think most sellers have gotten better over the years though. It's a fairly level playing field.

I just placed my 3rd order from SG last week late Monday night so technically Tuesday. Order was shipped out on Wednesday and should be here tomorrow. Ground shipping from OK to NC is 3 days so no complaints here. Only time I did have trouble was back in the winter when a snowstorm hit the day after placing the order. It was shipped in about a day but held up by UPS a few days due to the storm which is completely understandable and no fault of SG.
By the way, a case of ammo typically runs $16 for shipping so I try to make a sizable order when I can. My last order was 700 rounds total with $16 shipping which works out to 2 cents extra per round. I'll probably be placing an order with them for some AR ammo in the next couple weeks.

+1 for SGA ammo. I deal with them pretty regularly and have always had good luck. They consistently have some killer deals on ammo (SD, range, and hunting ammo).

Can anyone enlighten me on why Federal 9mm HST4 (147 grain +P) is so widely available and HST2 (147 grain) is like non existent?
Just curious.
Thanks
MKE

SGA is a great vendor. Ammo is always as described and it is well packaged. They have a real time inventory system, so if they say they have it, they do.

Also a fan of SGA and I work for a a LGS and can buy at wholesale. Occasionally I can get ammo at lower cost from SGA than I can from our distributors.

I've been buying from SG for quite some time. Quick, reasonable shipping, good prices, honorable, pleasant people . . . They are great!
