First of all, I'm new to this forum and fairly new to gun owning. I purchased the BG380 with laser for concealed carry about a month ago. I put about 200 rounds of a couple different types of ammo through it, and it did great. But then, the screw of the laser apparently came loose (which seems to be a common problem from what I've read on here) and it caused the slide to fail to go backwards. After some maneuvering (and a little force) I was able to get the slide back...by this time, the screw of the laser was completely mangled. So I sent the laser back to S&W and about 2 weeks later I received a new one. I installed it with some Loctite and went to the range- within 200 rounds I had about 7-8 jams including failures to feed and round stovepiping. I took the laser out to see if that was the problem, but still got the same results. Needless to say, the gun is on its way back to S&W to figure out the issue.
I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, and also what the average turnaround time is for repairs.
On a positive note: about a week after receiving my new laser, S&W sent me a new magazine. So, although I'm not happy about having to send my gun back, at least I know S&W cares about their customers
