Default 1st Shield Outing

Well I took my new Shield out for the first time this morning.
It shot 150 rounds perfectly, the shooter could use some practice .

love the gun, can't wait to put more rounds down range.

very similar to my M&P 40.

2 things...You defiantly have to sling shot the slide for proper battery. my M&P 40 is more forgiving and Round #8 in bear to get in.

This is a GREAT gun and I look forward to more shooting & fun.

Congratulations on the Shield and the first outing! It is indeed a great gun. Love mine! And yes, babying the slide isn't what your Shield wants. A Maglula/Uplula will solve that last round problem, and make getting the rest in easier too. Buy it, you'll find yourself using in for your other gun(s) as well.

Glad you had that it experience. Give or take some rounds it was my same experience. It ate everything I fed it. Cleaned it up easily when I got home and ready to go back out. Have the mags loaded and ready to go (6 of them). Whenever I get a new pistol, I buy 4 or 5 extra mags. I've found it makes range trips more fun, and on my larger capacity handguns, that early action saved me when 15 round magazines became scarce and expensive :-).
