another holster
I am a IWB guy for EDC, but I would like a new OWB for an upcoming class. I just now was thinking how funny it is that I won't put my plastic M&P in a plastic holster. I must have leather, it must be the cowboy in me, and I aint talkin space cowboy.

I looked at your profile. This is the holster that I use for my Shield. It will work for your 40C also.
MINI SCABBARD HOLSTERS, Keltec Holster, Concealed Holster, DeSantisHolster.com
It is nice and tight against the body and rides high so it is easy to draw. It has about a 15 degree cant.
They are out of stock but if you search here is the product number. 019BAL7Z0
May other have it for less money also.

Check Midway, that is where I got the one for my Ruger LC9. I have used the holster for 3 years now, with not a single issue.

Guess you could find a low cost Tagua leather holster at one of your LGS around you or maybe a step up for a Mitch Rozen eco line holsters .

If you want a holster that you might use beyond the upcoming class, I'd suggest a pancake style, they tend to keep the gun tight against the body and conceal quite well. Well enough that you may stop being a dedicated IWB guy once you see how comfortable OWB is.
I have a Lobo Gun Leather Enhanced Pancake that I love. However, Lobo and most other custom leather shops tend to have a wait list going. If you are in a time crunch, maybe check Amazon and order something that's in stock somewhere and has good reviews. Searching "Pancake Holster" there returns a boatload of options.

You mean there is something other than a leather holster?
To me kydex or plastic holster are just not the same. A good leather holster will do it every time.

Here's what I ordered, wondering if I am going to become an OWB carry guy? The milt sparks VMII I have for my 40c and shield are very comfortable and concealable, but I am willing to give this a try, after all the mind is like a parachute and only works if its open!
