I have an M&P 9l mm pro core, with a half a dozen 17-round magazines. I recently started 3 gun shooting and wanted to add a couple of Arrendondo mag extensions.
Arrendondo Magazine extensions increase my capacity from 17 to 22 rounds which was nice , but they would not allow the slide to lock back after the last round is fired. I used these Springs in all 6 of my magazines and have the same result with each one. I replaced the stock Smith & Wesson Springs in each magazine and have had no problems.
While troubleshooting this problem I found that there just was not enough upward pressure on the magazine follower to allow slide stop to catch the slide.
I called Arredondo twice to ask advice and they were stumped. They offered no advice or possible solutions for this problem. They said this does not happen with any of their other Smith & Wesson magazines. They did not offer to swap out my Springs or refund my purchase.
I am wondering if anybody else has had similar issues with the Arredondo magazine extensions.
Any help offered to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
