Default Infatuated again by the 10mm Auto cartridge...

...the last few weeks, and after finding new nickel-plated cases at Midway , I decided* over the WE to check out the 3 different Glock 20s at Glockmeister which is in my hometown of Phoenix. I looked at and handled Glock 20s in Gen3, Gen3 SF**, and Gen4.

So what did I buy? Not a one of them. I don't have big hands, so each felt a bit large front-to-back, with the Gen3 the worst in that regard. Due to the finish on the grips, each of the three felt really raspy in my hands. The worst was that each felt very SMALL in the trigger guard. The upper-rear opening felt as if it was designed to block the trigger finger and not accommodate it, and then the tip of my finger and (very short) fingernail dragged on the bottom of the trigger guard. So I returned to my car and reloaded my S&W 40 (FS) and was VERY happy about how comfortable it felt. THANK YOU S&W for designing a pistol with the goal of being comfortable in ordinary-sized hands!

I'm pretty sure the only way I'll ever have a 10mm pistol again is if I can find such a barrel for my S&W M&P 45 (FS).

*not that I don't have plenty to do in my retirement! HOW the hell did I have time to work for a living?

While they are only half the capacity, go fondle one of the new Sig P220's in 10mm........it'll feel just about right I reckon.

I've got one of the new Glock 40's also, but like you mentioned...I didn't like the grip size and shape, so I had it reduced, contoured and textured by Boresight Solutions. Happy compromise between feel and capacity.
