Considering buying a standard Shield with the integrated Crimson Trace green laser. I'd be very interested in hearing feedback from anyone that owns/ has owned this set-up. Primarily use would be CC and HD. The other option would be to put the extra $ towards a PC Shield (no laser).

Appreciate your thoughts.

I have a Shield (no CT), MP9C with CT Laserguard, and MP9 FS with CT.

The Laserguard weighs about 2oz so the weight with CT (fully loaded with +1 chambered, 147 gr Federal HST) is roughly:

- Shield: 26oz
- MP9C: 32oz
- MP9 FS: 37.6

The Shield has a very narrow grip and requires adjustment to shoot accurately. Personally, I feel that the Shield carries similar to the MP9C but I'm insensitive to weight and width thickness. If you'll be using it as a combo, CC and HD, the MP9C is more suited as it's a 12+1 with option for 17rd full size mag fitment.

I've really enjoyed using the CT Laserguard and my accuracy have greatly improved. It's a useful training tool as well.

- If I can only have 1 gun, I'd likely keep the MP9C.

I am a big fan of the laser GRIPS, where you replace the grip and don't really change the look of the gun much, plus you can still use the same holsters.

But the laser options for polymer striker guns just don't appeal to me. They look like a tumor hanging off the gun. You have to buy new holsters if you want to use one.

And for a carry gun, I want as light and slim as possible, which is why my Bidyguard .380 does not have the laser. At 25 ounces, the Shield is already out of my weight range for anything other than a belt gun. And if I'm gonna carry a belt gun, why only have 8 rounds? And yes, I have owned a Sheild. Nice gun. But heavier than it needs to be for what it is. I carry a Ruger LC9-S now, other than summer time Bodyguard .380 carry in pocket.

But one in a J frame or a 5906? Very nice!
