Hi all,
Running into some issues with my previously reliable M&P 9c.
I've probably shot about 2200 rounds though it (I'm the second owner, the first owner said he shot it about 350 rounds, and looked it when I received it)
Only thing I've done is switch the sights. Internals are stock.
I've had the gun for almost 3 years, and about a month ago noticed it failing to reset occasionally, i.e. Sear flutter. I knew it had the older 1/16" sear spring, but had not.done anything as the gun had run until then. I ordered a new sear housing block the day after it happened in the range. The version I ordered had the larger sear spring, but also had a mag safety. Not too concerned, as it was going to be retired as a range/back up to another M&P 9c I acquired.
While I had the shb out, I decided to drop a pro sear I had into it (factory sear from a pro version, previously installed in another gun) with no problem.
I took it to the range last week, and on the first shot with the primary mag, got a stovepipe ( round was not vertical to slide like traditional stovepipe, it was horizontal if that makes sense). Cleared and shot another round, same thing. One more time, same thing. Pissed, I put the gun away and didn't think about it.
Next day I ordered a couple of new recoil springs and mags (recoil spring had never been changed, and i think I read they should be changed every 3000 rounds, so it was due).
Today I try it with new recoil spring, new mags, and have the same issue, 5 times in a row.
Now I'm at loss at what the issue is. It seems to me like it might be the ejector but is here anything else it could be?
