Spring stuck and slide wont come off Bodyguard 380

Just recently purchased the Bodyguard 380. Got a chance to shoot it and my wife loves it. Took it down today and cleaned it. When I was putting it back together the spring came loose and is stuck now. The slide is stuck and won't come back off. Any suggestions? Should I send it back to S&Wednesday? Or should I take it to a gunsmith?
