Did you login to your account and see if you can print an invoice? I can't imagine they couldn't get you a copy.
By the way, thanks for mentioning Palmetto, I never heard of them until I read your post and just ordered a Bodyguard from them for $249 so it'll be $199 after rebate.

I submitted my rebate form online three weeks ago and when I checked the status at Milano website, it told me that there was no record of that claim. Has anyone got confirmation from them yet?

Interesting. I just tried it also, and got the same message. There is a phone number for additional assistance 866) 963-7933.
I'll try it tomorrow.
A guy on another forum says he called them on April 4th, and they told him it would "be several weeks for them to process the rebates".

I have been on the fence about purchasing a Shield every since the rebates were announced. Today, I decided that now is the time to buy. After a search for the best deal, I came across Smoky Mountain Guns and Ammo in TN. The 9mm Shield is $299 and the .45 was $339 with free shipping. I ordered the .45 and am thinking about getting the 9 also.

Now that Obama is out of office the firearms manufacturers needed to do something to drum up business. S&W:rebates....SA:extra mags & gear

Yep. And $75 is 3+ boxes of 9mm ammo
In my case it's a $50 rebate for my new BG .380

This rebate program suckered me in good - 3 Shields & 1 BG later, I am anxiously awaiting the rebates so that I can show my wife I saved money. Never mind that I already spent it all again on magazines, holsters, ammo, etc...

I posted this in another thread - I went to the Milano site today and entered my phone number, zip code, and last name. It came up "no record". I entered just my zip code and last name, and the rebate submission came up.

That is probably because the online rebate form does not ask for a phone number.

I have a lot more serious things to worry about than if S&W is going to send me $75.

You picked it up on April 6? I bet they'd change your invoice to show April 6. The Place I bought mine changed the date for me (I bought March 31st before I even knew about the rebate). Since it was shipped to my FFL they changed it to the date I received it.

Thanks for that information. It also worked for me. Shows a valid rebate submission. Milano does not answer phone, only records your message. S&W needs a better rebate processer.

The rebate and a crazy low price at PSA pushed me to buy a BG 380. Maybe for the wife and kids. I love my 9mm Shield. If the BG is as soft shooting as I've heard due to the locked breech, I'm gonna love it too (my Glock 42 is an easy shooting gun and is locked breech too...won 3 GSSF matches with it!).

Has anyone actually gotten the rebate yet. I personally don't like rebates. I would prefer to have a mark down at the register.

When I fill out all the blocks on the Milano enquiry website, all that comes up are my old 2010 S&W rebates.
However, if I only fill in my last name and zip code, then it shows all my current Shield rebates as having been submitted.

Just going on your past experiences of how often S&W offers rebates, how likely do you think it might be that they will offer a rebate on their M&P9 models?
I really want one of those more than a Shield and was disappointed that the current rebate doesn't include them.
Thanks~

Just saw an article that May 2017 set a new record for ATF background checks in that month, and that 2017 is on track to be at least the second highest if not the highest year on record for these checks. New record: America arms itself, 'necessary steps to defend selves'
The article suggests that the terrorists are the ones drumming up business for gun makers, but whatever the source I suspect that S&W's reasons behind the current rebate program are more likely to be the balancing of unsold inventory rather than just creating more sales. Still, I was happy to take advantage on a Shield.

My opinion? --0-- Already released the 2.0. Probably not near the inventory like they had for the Shields.

Rebates
I called the rebate company for S&W yesterday to see if they received mine yet. 1st one was submitted 4/4/17, 2nd one was submitted 4/27/17.The lady I talked to told me she had the first one in their system but not the 2nd one. I asked why? She told me it's taking them 8-10 just to process the rebate forms, then once they are processed be another 8-10 weeks to submit rebates. Smh. Check back in few weeks to see if 2nd one was submitted

They were pretty fast years ago with the free magazines they gave away. Based on everyone's experience, it looks like it will take 6+ months if ever to get the rebates.
My wife got a Shield on layaway today but will not get the rebate if we do not get it out by 6-30. Normally you get 2 months at this LGS. I wonder if this really matters since no one seems to be getting the rebates anyway .

Not possible. Started April 1. Today would be 2 months, 2 and a half weeks since the deal started. Earliest anyone would get anything if they submitted on April 1 (highly unlikely at all) would be July 8 I bet.
I bought a .45 Shield 4/1. Shipped out 4/4. I picked up from FFL 4/7. Submitted rebate info 4/8. Milano says they processed 4/14.
Today would be 9 weeks + for me.

I just spoke with Milano and they said they're processing the mid May rebates now.
She also said that the rebate program runs until July 31st. You must buy the gun by June 31st, though.

I hope I'm not scheduled to work the shop on the 30th. I can just see the procrastinators rolling in an hour before closing to buy a bodyguard. Then when NICS goes down due to the volume....... :-(

This just showed up in my inbox from S&W:
Dear Valued Smith & Wesson Customer,
Thank you for your recent purchase and on behalf of Smith & Wesson firearms, I would like to personally apologize for the delay you have experienced in receiving your rebate on this purchase. Typically we are able to process rebates within a few weeks of receipt, and our recent performance does not meet our standard.
The “Savings You Can Carry” program has been very popular, and the tremendous response we received temporarily overwhelmed our systems. I have personally overseen our correction of the situation, and am committing to you that if you submitted your rebate in the month of April, your rebate submission will be processed no later than July 7, 2017. If you submitted your rebate in the month of May, your rebate submission will be processed no later than July 31, 2017.
Nothing is more important to us than your loyalty. Please accept our sincerest apologies and our appreciation for your patience, as well as your dedication to the products we are so proud to deliver.
Regards,
Matt Buckingham
President, Smith & Wesson Firearms
