Default New–M&P®45 SHIELD™ Thumb Safety

I haven't had a chance to put many rounds through it. Maybe 15. It works, decent trigger, and at least as accurate as I am. A competent pistol, easy to handle and shoot.

Only quibble so far is loading the 6rd magazine, I'm going to have to use my Uplula to get past five rounds until things settle in. Haven't tried the 7rd magazine yet.

Take down reminds me of the Ruger P94 that had the sear release lever much like in the 45 Shield. I'm not fond of the method but it's a minor thing.

Filled out the online rebate form, 8–10 weeks wait for receipt.

Fill both magazines and let them sit for a week or so. Should make loading easier.

Wont make a difference.
Get an UpLula loader edit see you have one so use it.
I can load mine by hand but even after over 1k through gun and leaving mags always loaded with carry rounds they are still as stiff as on day one darn near.

I have 5 mags and all are left loaded with 7rds (i dont have any 6) with one in gun (+1) and spares.

You can use the trigger pull method for take down. I never use the sear pin. Just double check it's empty.

Thanks for the suggestions on Uplula. As I posted, I have one and intend to use it.

ScaryWoody, never heard of "the trigger pull method" for the shield. The sear disconnect works fine. No Big Deal.
