Has anyone used the "Sight Mount" brand of mount to allow your M&P pistol (I have an M&P 9) to mount an optic sight? If so, what has been your experience?

Their sight replaces the stock M&P rear sight using the same dovetail and employs two attachment screws (versus the 1/16" set screw on the stock sight). There is a hole drilled in the front of the sight where you can have a hole drilled and tapped into your slide to add a third attachment point should you desire.

The sight is a combo picatinny rail and iron sight.

The inventor says his iron sight raises the level of the rear sight only a tiny bit requiring a small adjustment in your POA. He also says that an optic re-registers each time the optic is mounted so it does not have to be sighted in each time. That allows you to quickly remove the optic to use the iron sights if you want to, then put the optic back.
