This is what the rebate form said:
Quote:
Please allow 10–12 weeks for fulfillment of valid rebate requests.

S&W told me 12 weeks from the date it shows up on Milano's website. It's been 13 and nothing. S&W needs to step in and straighten out this mess it is harming their reputation. To those making excuses my response is when a company promises a rebate it is their responsibility to make sure it is processed in a timely manner by a reputable company. No excesses accepted terrible customer service.

No, my receipt was rejected. It didn't itemize and state that I bought an M&P 2.0. Went back to gun store and asked for an itemized receipt, and they said they don't do that. I have my receipt that has gun store name on it, and valid serial number of an M&P 2.0 (that I bought at that gun store) but I gave up. The entire rebate system is a pain in the ***!

Actually I want to thank you all for starting this thread.
I didn't even know there was this rebate going on. LOL! I just started reading through this and was wondering what the actual rebate dates were. It's from July 1, 2017 through Sept 30, 2017. Well, go figure that I bought my 40 Shield on Sept 27, 2017. LOL! I just barely fell into the rebate window. So, I literally just filed my rebate online 5 minutes ago. I'm sure that means I won't get my stuff until the end of January and maybe even longer due to the holidays. But it is what it is. Like I said, I bought the 40 Shield because I wanted it, not because of the rebate. It's just a bonus, so if/when I get it, cool.
I agree with the few that have posted here that any rebate is a pain in the arse. LOL! I sent in a rebate for my Hornady LnL AP and dies when I first got them for free XTP HP bullets and I'm still waiting for those. Again, when they get here, they get here. Rebates always take forever and usually longer than the advertised date range. It is what it is. It's free goodies, so really, how can I complain about that?

Both of mine finally show up on their site, from July and August, but I get a letter today from MPS saying the receipt didn't show gun, store name, price and date - which the copies I submitted surely do. I will play this stupid game and resubmit but if I don't get what S&W promised me I will never buy another S&W product ever again, just on principle. This is plain BS!

I had a similar issue with one of mine and I contacted S&W through FB and sent them a photocopy of the receipt and they took care of it. The next day it showed up on the Milano rebate site.
Not sure you can really blame S&W being that they outsource that type of work.

For the ones that have received their goodies I haven't seen whether or not you have received shipping notifications before you received your package. Asking because I might need to change my delivery address

Got the "you didn't do it right" letter from S&W's hired outfit yesterday. Sales slip from Grab-A-Gun not good enough. The Shield 45 is a pretty good gun; doesn't cover the insult though. To Hell with Smith & Wesson.

I wonder does one have to sign for the Ammo? I know some companies require Adult signature on any Ammo!?

@ Grump01 Some claim they receive a shipping/tracking number and others don't.
@ Vthillman Just take a photo of the receipt and contact S&W through Facebook. They'll take care of it. If Grab-a-gun didn't send a receipt with the full purchase price they'll kick it back. Milano said mine was a lay-a-way because it didn't have no price on it.
@akdude. Not sure. I've had ammo delivered and it will be sitting on my front steps when I get home. lol

OK, I checked again today (28th October), and the Milano website says "Record not found", or something to that effect.

I’ve been waiting since July for the Summer MP 2 rebate. I did speak to Milano a week or so ago and they told me that they are only doing the rebate application processing and that S&W is doing the fullfillment. The reason that Milano is not handling the fulfillment is because ammunition is involved. Milano only validates the application. I suspect this handoff back to S&W is adding a delay. So if you have gone on-line and validated that Milano has processed your application then S&W should have it.

I was wondering about that, a friend asked me that question a few days ago about Milano actually being able to hand out ammo.? Maybe S&W is suffering the same problem we've had up until recently,"Sorry sir we can only sell 1 box at a time". Can you imagine how long that would take, that wold help explain why it's taking so long. Maybe they're getting it from the local W@7m@rt. (didn't want to mention names) Ours is the only store in the entire area that still pulls that ****. Grab a case of ammo off the pallet as they are stocking it and watch the show begin, did it with a case of .22 and they followed me to the register and out to my car but never said a word to me.
Now this thing they keep saying about still processing July's rebates, that bothers me. They told me that back around the first of September, more specifically they were working on mid July's at that point.
Anyway my little secret to keep my mind off it was to buy a M&P15-22 to go plinking, works great!! Or the other option be a single dad with 3 (2 teenage daughters) That'll definitely help teach patience or put you in the psyche ward.. D@mn it, where's my #^$#ing rebate!! J/k

Submitted my rebate on 20 July (ammo, mags, relaoder) received them on 26 October!
Got a FedEx notification 2 days prior to arrival and thought it was a phishing scam. Why because to was from SAW out of Paducah KY. Until the day it arrived I was still trying to figure out SAW...DUH Smith AND Wesson...SAW. Geesh!

I have not gotten mine yet, but there is a Youtube where a guy did and unboxes it. In the process, he shows the return address which was SAW.
Those of us who have had guns shipped back to them know to be Smith & Wesson. He didn't know that. In addition, it did not come from Massachusetts, but from Kentucky, I think.

Well, that explains the Fed-Ex notification I got today... I'll have mine Thursday, 11/2/2017 by end of day.

I submitted the application for the M&P 45 Shield on 16 September (8 weeks). The receipt doesn't have the SN, but I provided it. I don't remember the paper saying the SN had to be on the receipt.
I submitted the M&P 9 Shield on 30 September (6.5 weeks). That receipt did have the SN.
I didn't buy either gun for the rebate. I didn't even know about it untill after I bought the 45 Shield. I really like both guns, and will just wait and see what comes of it. So far, it's "no record found".
In the meanwhile, I'll shoot the guns.

Update: I bought my Shield 9 Sept 30 and yes I was influenced by the Rebate offer.
I submitted the info electronically Sept 5 and got a receipt that it was accepted. We are just short of 8 weeks now and nothing shows up on the Milano website.
I bought my Hankook tires about the same time and within a week I got my $100 pre-loaded Visa card. I see no reason why this process has to take 8-12 weeks.

We bought 5 S&W's during the rebate period. 4 of them with the $75 rebate, and 1 with the mag/ammo deal. We've gotten all of the $75 rebates, but still waiting on the mag/ammo for the last one. I had to send the paperwork in as it did not recognize the gun SN. I called yesterday to confirm there was no issue with it, since it's not shown up on the Milano site, and it's been 2 months. All good, it's approved. Just waiting to be processed.
I agree it should not take them this long to process these offers, but I'm not in any huge rush, either. I'll be happy to get the stuff whenever it arrives.
Loving all the guns, including the Shields. Just great carry guns that we're very happy we bought.

Does the mags and ammo ship from Paducah,KY? I received an email from Fedex saying I must sign for a package from Paducah but I haven’t ordered anything lately.

The Mag loader isn't bad, setup correctly it loads about as fast as you can normally. After using one it seems more useful for someone who has weaker fingers and has a hard time loading a mag. My youngest daughter has a hell of a time loading a 17rd clip by hand and can do it in about 20 seconds with the loader. The biggest thing is making sure the clip is in correctly, if not you will fight it.

Yes, the sender is SAW. No fair guessing what that means.

After the previous rebate fiasco the company President said he would personally remedy this ridiculously slow program. Apparently he can't do squat. 7 weeks for confirmation your request has been received is terrible. And then you still wait weeks for your items!! These times are not acceptable for any respectable company. I submitted a Staples rebate one afternoon, received confirmation that night and my rebate 2 weeks later.

9 weeks for me. Nothing yet. This sucks!!! The reason it takes so long is Smith does not have to pay the rebate center for the goods that are shipped out until they actually shipped so they love delays. its all part of how it works

Twelve weeks for me, and it just showed up on Milano this past week. Although it says it was entered 8/14, a week after I bought it. It doesn’t show it has been shipped though. I hope a signature isn’t required, I’m not home, and won’t be for nearly three weeks.

Finally Arrived
My package finally arrived today. It contained 2 boxes of ammo, 2 magazines and a nice looking magazine loader. IMO my 15 emails to S&W sped it along although it still took 4 MONTHS. I bought the Shield 1 July and promptly mailed my paperwork to Milano. It showed up on their website by the end of July. I heard nothing for a couple of months so I tried contacting Milano. One would have a better chance of reaching god so I began emailing S&W getting mostly BS answers. My emails became more critical and addressed to higher ups at S&W. I received a email from FedEx yesterday, NOTHING from Milano by the way, saying a package would be delivered today nothing in the message indicating it was from S&W or Milano.
I am happy to receive the rebate but still unsatisfied at the timeliness. Those of you defending S&W probably have no sales experience. Customer service is paramount. Word of mouth advertising cannot be bought. Why can Costco or Publix supermarket offer instant rebates but S&W 4+ months? My advice for S&W is to distance from sclockhouse Milano.
I for one will never fall for a S&W rebate again.

Look up Milano (MPS). Two brothers in two different states, probably working from home. Shame S&W, shame.

Update. I used the mag loader. It really works and is pretty good. It takes a bit of practice to master but it makes loading hard to load magazines easier. I loaded Shield 45, XD mod 2 9mm, Glock 26 and FNs 40 it worked well for all. Just ready and follow directions. My only reservation is how long it will last, it does not seem to be too sturdy. Question, the ammo is 185 does that mean S&W recommends 185 for the Shield. I have been using 230 without issue.

I have yet to receive my ammo, mags, and mag loader. The Milano site is acting weird.
Bought a Shield back in May and submitted the $75 rebate online mid-May, before the threads really started to pop on this site. So, being paranoid I resubmitted online again a couple weeks later. Then I found the Milano number and website. Called and they had no record of either. A couple weeks later my first rebate shows up on the Milano site. I received the $75 check in July. Then in early August another $75 rebate shows up on Milano, must be when I resubmitted, however when I attempt to click the magnifying glass for more details, it brings up a blank page. I buy an M&P9 on August 19th and promptly submit the rebate for the ammo and mags online. I wait about a month to even check the Milano site because I know it will take weeks to show up there. In reviewing my documentation that I submitted, I notice I spelled by city incorrectly (did have zip correct however). I eventually get through to someone at Milano, its now Sept 18th and at that time they have no record of my M&P submission in their system. I explain my situation to the person I talked to, and they said to send in a hard copy of the rebate and the supporting documentation addressed to her. She said that she would call me when she received it to verify that the city got updated. 3 weeks go by and nothing (weird right). so I call back and am able to get in touch with the same person I talked to. She then looked in their system and saw my submission with the correct city. She said it was dated as 08/31 as entered in the system. Now it wasn't on the Milano site at this time. About 3 weeks ago the ammo and mag rebate shows up on Milano with an entry date of 08/25. Now I can't to the details of any of the rebate lines because when I click on the magnifying glass to see the details I get a blank page.
I have not received anything, have not received any kind of confirmation email or letter, and no Fed Ex notification or anything.
Agree with the posters on here, S&W contracting with Milano was a mistake, Milano must be the low priced option for processing these.
I just bought some scent killer spray from Wildlife Research for hunting, came with a $5 rebate. I logged the rebate online and instantly got an email confirmation that my rebate was submitted and within 48 hours there was an entry on their website that a rebate submission was received. Now, it will take 8 to 10 weeks to get the $5 check, but how come Milano can't even get an email response or a dang website to work. A college intern could create a website and backend Database and associated workflow to manage these requests...in the information age it is ridiculous the data black hole these requests from Milano go into.

Bought a new 2.0 M&P and mailed in my receipt and info on August 1st and have tried calling Melano many times and kept getting mail box full....Tried again today and finally got a lady to answer....I gave her my name and zip code and the date I mailed it in but she couldn't find any information that they ever received my form....She asked for the gun serial number which I didn't have and I was told to try calling back next week...What a joke!!! I like the pistol but really only bought it because of the great rebate which looks like I will never receive....S&W is a great company and should step up and do something about this mess, really an embarrassment.....

I assume your rebate was on the Shield 45. If so, what size magazines did you receive?

Got my package today 11/3/17 Milano logged it in 7/27/17. very impressed as I received the longer 8 shot magazines which I thought is a winner, The loader is interesting and appears well made. The Hornady ammo is also a winner. JUST HANG IN THERE.
