M&P Compact 2.0 Rebate - NOT A HOAX!
Some of us will remember a rant all about being unable to apply for the rebate online because the serial number database wasn't updated. I had that same experience and printed out the documents with the intention to mail them this week (instructions to do this popped up on the screen over the weekend).
I just wanted to point out that the database apparently has been updated because I was able to submit the claim, online, for a 2.0 Compact just now.

Thanks for posting this.
The threads bemoaning the time lag, database issues, mail in process, etc. were getting so tiresome.
Nice to see someone start a thread specifically with something positive to say.

I wish I would have waited, I could have saved the cost of a stamp.
For those that waited, once again procrastination pays!

That's why I waited and tried again. I figure if I save the stamp on a thousand rebates, I'll get a free gun.

I have a M&P 45 M2.0 i recently bought last month and it still says "We could not find your serial number in our database. If you have confirmed the serial number was entered correctly. Please mail in your rebate submission and a customer service representative will be able to process the claim."
So i guess they didn't fully update the database.

Sunday I got the same result. Today, apparent success. Maybe updating the database is ongoing.

I mailed mine in. Was I stupid to not add a tracking to my mail in rebate?

I always just put rebates in an envelope, stick a stamp on them, put them in the mailbox and hope for the best. But I never buy anything I would not purchase without the rebate.

I bought my Shield 9mm online from Cabelas the last day Sept 30. I picked it up a week later Oct 7 and applied on-line for the rebate Oct 10.
I look a pic of the invoice and attached it, everything went smoothly. I would have preferred the $75 instead of 2 mags, 2 boxes of ammo and a Caldwell Mag Charger. I didn't read the fine print so I will get the products, not the cash. That is 100% on me.
What bothered me is that SW needs 6-8 weeks to fulfill their obligation. I just bought 4 tires and Hankook sent me a pre-paid $100 Visa card in a week!
I wish they would ship that Mag charger pronto. I may have some ligament damage in my thumb from trying to get that last round in the mags.
I'm either going to have to buy another mag charger online or just not fully charge my mags. Those springs are stiff!

You and i are in the same boat, except i just got the 2.0c. I also got an $80 prepaid visa card for my Hankook tires a couple weeks ago and only waited about a week. My brother just got his rebate for his shield after waiting 10 weeks.

I ended up filling out the rebate last night and it went through on my new 2.0 so I hope they don't deny it. The last time I talked to S&W they didn't even have mags yet for the 2.0 compact.

What about the fact that it's taking so long? This is not kosher. And I, along with a lot of other people have been telling people that.
