I have been longing for a full size .45 for a while now, and it seems that the M&P .45 2.0 is a fine choice. This would be a "splurge on me" gun, which doesn't happen very often, and used for home defense and a fun range gun and who knows, may end up as a carry gun.
I have all the full size 9mm that I need and my edc is the .45 Shield, which I like a whole lot.
This may sound silly, but I have not been able to handle, let alone shoot the 2.0, and I realize that it is 1.3" longer barrel and holds 3 more rounds than the Shield, but is there really much difference between the .45 Shield and the .45 2.0? I imagine there is, just a silly question.
Everything that I have researched about the .45 2.0 indicates that it is a good pistol and I have not heard of any problems, just looking for input from those with experience with this model. Thank you.
