I have been longing for a full size .45 for a while now, and it seems that the M&P .45 2.0 is a fine choice. This would be a "splurge on me" gun, which doesn't happen very often, and used for home defense and a fun range gun and who knows, may end up as a carry gun.
I have all the full size 9mm that I need and my edc is the .45 Shield, which I like a whole lot.
This may sound silly, but I have not been able to handle, let alone shoot the 2.0, and I realize that it is 1.3" longer barrel and holds 3 more rounds than the Shield, but is there really much difference between the .45 Shield and the .45 2.0? I imagine there is, just a silly question.
Everything that I have researched about the .45 2.0 indicates that it is a good pistol and I have not heard of any problems, just looking for input from those with experience with this model. Thank you.

I want this model as well. I have shot my neighbor's a few times now and it is indeed a very good gun. I have the 5" FDE 9mm 2.0 so i knew the platform was what i liked. The 45 is very accurate and he's never had any issue with his.

Its on my list. But I had to get the new SIG P365 first.

I wouldn’t jump in that 365 just yet. Have seen a couple videos where the gun didn’t go to battery after changing mags.

Already pre ordered. And you have to remember the rule of statistics. For every two negative reviews how many are fine? Glock 43 had same issue at release.

Thanks for the feedback comiskeybum and congrats on your new SIG P365, should be a fine pistol.
