If S&W has the plugs to install if you remove the safety in an M&P series pistol, why don’t they have a way to just remove the safety on one side and leave the other one in? There’s gotta be a way to do this. I like the safety on my M&P’s but I don’t need or want one on the right side of the gun. And no, I don’t want to grind the lever off and just leave a stump. I’d like it to look professionally done like it does with the safety removed and the plugs installed.

I haven't had any of mine apart to try, but I don't see why you couldn't simply dremel off the right side safety just forward of the pin hole and use the right side plug as usual. I thought about doing this on my 22 compact as my trigger finger knuckle tends to ride high enough to activate the safety on occasion.
