Ed Brown Fueled ??

I am sure they are a quality piece, but it definitely ain’t my cup o tea. Love my EB 1911s and Glocks, but for me any plastic gun over $500, even if cobbled by EB, doesn’t warrant consideration.

Ed Brown makes quality products and I am positive that it’s an excellent piece of engineering. But I ask myself why I should switch out my M2.0 C.O.R.E with a Ed Brown version.

- The slide looks like a ZEV OZ9/Glock, a design that I really don’t find that appealing.

- The frame is unchanged since S&W did a damned good job with the ergonomics from the start, and with the M2.0 they nailed the texture on the grip.

- They have made an accuracy front locking block that will improve accuracy and have smaller tolerances than from the factory. I for one have experienced good accuracy with my M&P9 when it was stock, and I am never going to be that good where the Ed Brown difference will be a deal breaker. The tolerances from the factory is there for a reason.

- Ed Brown have re-designed and re-engineered the extractor. The stock extractor is rock solid and in the service interval it’s never suggested to change it. It’s designed to last the lifespan of the pistol.

My opinion is that if you like the design, want a slide with an RMR cut and a pistol with small tolerances then why not. Otherwise, S&W have designed an exceptional pistol, and if someone wants to improve the accuracy you can buy an Apex trigger and barrel.
Except the trigger and barrel, rest of the Ed Brown improvements is mainly cosmetic

True, but seeing the prices on Glocks coming out of custom houses, and given that Ed Brown has been making custom pistols since before Glocks were born, he probably can command those prices. If the guns are built to the same standards as his 1911's.

The only way I see to customize a glock......Is to sell it and buy something else.
