Hello.... Bought myself a new shield plus love the gun everything looks good. my only complaint is my fat chubby fingers have a hard time getting in the trigger guard with the flat trigger. 😲. So I installed the original curved trigger now I'm happy.(more room for my chubby finger) Posting some pictures of flat trigger and curved trigger. trigger bar is exactly the same. position where pin holes are exactly the same for trigger bar....(imo).. looks like the shield Plus with the exception of the flat trigger, the magazine release button, and the magazines and frame.... Everything else looks interchangeable....

Yes...it works, same as gen 1 and 2. The internal functions are the same...

Looks good, and it appears that you addressed the only issue I would have thought to be a problem going between the newer style and older style with pin location. I know with aftermarket triggers using the same bar you have to adjust the timing, but if it drops in and works then fantastic!

I did no modifications to the trigger bar assembly.. Just ordered a Gen 2 trigger.... Compared them side to side.... Look the same to me and installed the Gen 2 trigger on the shield Plus.... So far I've dryed fired it and function tested it with no issues but have not gone to the range and shot it yet... To me it looks like Smith & Wesson used the original trigger bar from gen 1 and Gen 2 and just created a new trigger shoe.... From what I can tell the pin holes are in the same location...

Too Bad because I think after changing out the stock hinged trigger on both my Gen1 Shield and my M&P 2.0 Compact to Apex Flat Faced Triggers, there is just no comparison. Did you consider putting your fat fingers on a diet prior to making this decision? Just Kidding!

I'm just guessing I'm so used to the original Gen 2 shield that I have... But there's definitely less room in the front on the flat trigger compared with the curved one, flat triggers sticks out forward more...and I'm 6'3 250 lb fat fingers been there a long time....lol

Btw... Forgot to mention one thing the shield plus recoil springs are painted green and The shield Gen 2 are painted red there's definitely a increase on the shield plus recoil spring....can you see green paint on smaller springs....
