M and P .22 Extended Slide Release

Hello everyone. Is there anywhere I should look for accessories and mod parts for my M and P compact .22 pistol?

I’d like to get an extended slide lock, remove the paddle safety, and upgrade the sights. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I couldn't find any place with any parts you mentioned, I was looking for these as well (few months ago) and found that this pistol was mostly supported by S&W only.

I doubt very seriously of being able to find a source for an extended slide lock and manual safety delete for the M&P 22 Compact. About the only upgrades will be sights and extended capacity magazines. The M&P 22 Compact is a fine little gun as is and the only modifications I have ever considered is upgrading the sights. Dawson Precision is a good source for sights and Taylor Tactical is a good source for the magazine upgrade.

I do plan on some sights at some point. I’d really like to work on recoil reduction. I knows it’s minimal, but I bought this gun specifically to be a budget close quarter toy. Any luck with led lights for the rail that don’t protrude past the end? O light maybe? Thanks for your reply.

Crimson Trace makes a light/laser WML (weapon mounted light) specifically for the M&P 22 Compact. Good luck. Hope that helps.

I have this combo on my M&P9 compact, but it fits the M&P22 compact OK, as well.

Green laser above the light, so the difference in height with the barrel isn't as much as most that have laser below the light.

Quality isn't the best, battery is a little small, it's not a quick release attachment, and I'm not sure if it's made in the USA, but it's only $60, fits compacts and some subcompact rails, and it doesn't seem to loosen up after a short trip to the range.

For the safety plugs, I don't think the ones for M&P9 fit. I just took apart my M&P22c to check and almost lost a spring

I suppose you could use a dremmel and cut off the paddles, or pliers and bend the paddles out of the way of your thumb. But I'm not sure where you can buy a replacement safety in case you want to restore it to factory appearance, or accidentally destroy it.

For sights, I got fiber ones from Williams Sights. Rear for compact is only elevation adjustable, though. I chose it because I preferred the green front and red rear. I think the other brands had the colors reversed. Can't find any night sights for this, though.
