I’ve been using a Mantis X3 for dry fire training for about six months and absolutely love it. Recently picked up a Shield Plus and really like the trigger. Wanted to use it with the Mantis X3 but I am not sure about the magazine rail adapters for the Shield. Started thinking about an aftermarket rail, figuring I might want to use it for a light some day but for now just to mount the Mantis X3.
Ordered a Recover Tactical SHR9 Rail Adapter and it showed up today. Put it on and must admit I am impressed. It is a nice piece of kit that fits very well. For dry fire practice I do not need to use the included tiny screws, just snapping it together is more than secure enough. This makes it super easy to install/remove. IMO this is a lot better than Shield magazine rail adapter they sell you on the Mantis X website. The price of the two are about the same.
