Default sold old bought another

I've had a s&w 669 I just never found any love for and finally decided to sell it and then visit our general store and picked up a M&P sku 13144 . A 4" compact 2.09mm that has a thumb safety and is optic ready . Price was ok at $567 dollars. cleaned up and lubed so went out back and ran 100 rounds thru it and I'm pleased with it . Now I need to order a holosun green circle dot for it .

Yep thats the model . Thanks . I roll my own practice ammo and I guess you can say I have enough set aside . green dot from holosun will be here friday . Then I'll get down with some practice time . Our general store just got in a pile of 500 round boxes of 7.62x39 , 223 of barnaul scattered around the firearm area . Prices were pretty good even for russian ammo .

Never found a need for full end serrations but there ok . Might be I'm more old school . I do have a holsun 507C-GR X2 in today and have it mounted . Only 2 days to get to our house I'll wait till tomorrow to zero it but sitting center on the sights , so it should be close . The optic changes intensity quickly too so turn if down for low light and step out side and see it step up several level of intensity . Love the green circle dot too . Now for a couple select apex parts to smooth the triggers take up . Pull weights ok 5lb 4oz . Real want to start with just a round top striker block .

Just bought similar rig! 13144 with a 507C Vulcan.

Now I know why SW added the front serrations. A little tricky to grasp the back serrations with the optic in the way. A little disappointed that the optic is wider than the slide.

Wondering if you got the striker block refinished. I am sending mine in for service.

Addressing the above post about Holosun optics. I have always thought that they were pretty good stuff. I have a 507K-X2 ACSS mounted on my Sig 365 X- Macro. I have put many hundreds if not thousands of rds. through it. Last week I was teaching on the range and running some drills with the student. All of a sudden, my dot went blank and I saw something go flying. It was the battery tray and battery. I thought the screw had backed out but the screw had sheared off. I took it to my gunsmith and he could not get it out, trying to drill and tap it. I sent three e-mails to Holosun. They said that they had opened a case on it but have not contacted my yet, five days later! Not a happy camper.

Poor whiny boys . I removed a RMO2 off over our old m&p core do to the lens tint thats does not work as well in low light conditions as the holosun and I see green better than red over a wider range or back grounds and lighting conditions . The compact I have is not a carry gun . I may CC it one day but I do stay stay in practice with a dot optic and in the last year and 8 months I have run 6800 rounds thru my 407c with no issues . I did screw up and buy years ago one of those trijicon tritium & fiber optic powered dot optics too . What a pile of cow waist that thing. Talked trijicon into talking it back plus money for the RM02 but moved on to someone else .

Now run along and love what even dot optic you have now . Let this old tread go back to sleep .

OldLefty Most of the roughness you have is in the connector and how it runs over the striker block and trips the sear with the 2.0 models . Earlier gen could use a striker block kit for sure. I little stoning and polishing of a couple point of the connector smooth it right up most times on the 2.0 . Not sure if or when I my carry the 4" compact 9mm as I still carry a 45acl lw commander or an early m&p 4.25 40sw also with a thumb safety and trigger group upgrades .
