Default CrossBreed Rogue System, AIWB Shield Plus holster

My poor Shield Plus PC long barrel had no holster for many months. Well, I had a traditional Alien Gear IWB but for appendix carry it was uncomfortable to sit in.

I run a Tier1 Concealed Axis Elite for my duty-size MP, but they kept saying "maybe next week" for a Shield Plus AIWB holster. They said that for months.

Suddenly, the lads at CrossBreed brought out a full-kydex AIWB for the Shield Plus, even one for the Performance Center long barrel. It's half the price of the T1C, which still isn't out, so I gave it a try.

Three thumbs up! For $100 you get adjustable cant, full kydex, hinged left/right components, and the excellent customer service that CrossBreed offers.

I'm running this Rogue System now anytime I'm in casual business clothes or a suit. It's as well radiused as T1C holsters. It has basically the same features, but instead of a stretchy paracord to hold left to right, they use a polymer hinge triangle, which also lets you adjust cant.

The only downside is the metal belt clips. T1C's belt clips are the bee's knees. The CrossBreed clips are fine, but once you've run the T1C clips you get addicted to them. I wonder if I could swap some over.

Finally, T1C is polite, but customer service is not speedy. Crossbreed on the other hand answers email in less than a day, and if you call on the phone you get someone who obviously knows more than a little about their holsters. At T1C it's often a "new guy" who still isn't terribly informed when you reach him again two months later. Just sayin...

So give the Crossbreed Rogue System a try if you want to run AIWB with your Shield Plus. It also has OWB uses but I haven't tried them.

Default Customer service answered the same day

I wondered about these slots on the front. In just a few hours, CrossBreed replied to my email, saying that the slots are for OWB clip options. That's cool to have options, but personally I have no interest in belt OWB. If carrying open around the ranch, I use a drop thigh rig.

FYI
