Has anybody worked on the aggressive stippling on the grip of the Shield Plus? I carry IWB at 4 and the side against my skin just plain hurts and the outside acts like velcro for every type of fabric shirt I have tried. Anybody tried to tone that down some?

I did the same as GerSan just on the left side. Doesn't take much. Also be careful around the back of the mag release as this black coating will come off with sandpaper. Ask me how I know. :(

I went with a Talon rubber grip on my Shield Plus. IMO it is less sandpaper like than the factory texture and more comfortable for both carrying and shooting.

I bought a extra Med palm swell and smoothed it down a little with Emory cloth. I admit for me the older M&P 1.0 and SD9VE fells a lot better

Hogue Handall is another option. This one is on my Hellcat but I've had them on Shields as well.
You'd have to have some really aggressive stippling to grip as good as rubber does. And the rubber Handall isn't going to chafe your hip.

I'm a big fan of the Brooke's tactical Agrip grip wrap. It looks and feels sort of like suede leather, but is really thin and flexible. It's smooth against your skin and grippy wet or dry...
