Bodyguard 380 green laser- need replace grip frame?

I have an older S&W Bodyguard 380 (marked S&W, not M&P) with the Insight Laser grip frame for integrated red laser.

I want to upgrade to a green laser, but none seem to be compatible with the integrated laser grip frame.

In order to add a green laser, should I buy and install a standard grip frame?
Is there any risk that a standard grip frame will not fit my older weapon?

you can upgrade your insight laser to the Crimson Trace by contacting S&W customer support and telling them you'd like the Crimson Trace. i have done that with several Body Guards at no cost. this won't solve your desire for a green laser, but it is a definite upgrade. i like the green better than the red laser myself and have several, but not on the BG.
