Hope this all makes sense.
I have shot over 500 rounds through it with no problems ever until a month ago.
I brought it home cleaned it and using snap caps could not get a solid firing pin strike indent in the snap cap.
At first i figured a broken firing pin but tested and could see it poke through the hole.
I cleaned it again with some extra care to the firing pin housing. Put it back together and was able to dry fire it and put some indents in the snap caps.
I took it to the range two days ago and put 6 rounds of CCI through it and got six bangs than same problem.
I took it home and field stripped it. With a little luck I could get it to "fire" when apart. I have to push in on the trigger bar, pull the trigger, as I keep pressure on the trigger so it comes up under by thumb pressure, slowly.
If i don't push in on the trigger bar it just goes click and the trigger does not come up into the fired position.
Any thoughts or just send it back to Smith and Wesson?
