Please see post #8 below for a response from CrossBreed.
Howdy ladies and gents,
My LLC runs private security for church events and weddings. We're also EDC Texans. When the Shield Plus came out, I tried it and love it. The new flat trigger is a real improvement, I never liked the swinging trigger foot much. So I put all our Shield 2.0s in a safe and replaced them with the Plus. Our ladies carry the Plus all the time. For the men, we carry the Plus when we have to wear suit and tie.
We also switched to CrossBreed Rogue System AIWB holsters when we switched to the Shield Plus. We use Tier1 Concealed Axis Elite AIWB holsters for duty size M&P weapons, but T1C was late to market with an AIWB holster for the Shield Plus, and they still only have the 3.1" barrel Plus. So we tried the CrossBreed Rogue System last year and stuck with it. The CrossBreed costs about half, which does not hurt when buying a bunch of holsters at once.
After a year or so of running CrossBreed Rogue holsters, we have had no holster failures. One T1C mag holder failed and they sent me a new one in four days. Both companies have excellent service. I'll go out on a limb now and say that T1C spends more time developing a holster, charges more, fits less weapons but is a better holster overall. CrossBreed comes to market faster for more new weapons, costs less, but their holster isn't quite as well radiused. The first one I bought was not built for my specific weapon, but it was mostly my fault.
CrossBreed will get a holster out soon for new models, but make sure it exactly fits your weapon. Ask them for pictures of your model gun in their holster before you order. The Rogue System is now only about $80 which is a smokin' deal. The T1C Axis Elite will set you back about $140 plus a $20 comfort Wedge Pack (highly recommended and can be used on any AIWB Kydex holster).
I wrote CrossBreed about the initial fit issue ( see their response below in post #8). They have good customer service and always answer. Annotated pics below and in post #9.
PS: We used to run Alien Gear but had repeated Kydex cracking, and they never seem to have improved their holster, just sent me a new shells over and over.
