Griffin Armament Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Advanced Threaded Barrel with Micro Carry

Has anyone tried this barrel and comp on their 9mm Shield? If so, what are your findings.

No but not impressed with it’s design. It appears to have four ports circled around the comp.including the bottom. I want the gas to come out of a large top port to have counteract muzzle rise. Gas from the bottom port is not helpful.

Indeed. They kick up dirt when you go prone and give away your position.

Seriously, unless there is some magic effect where this kind of porting extends the lock-up time of the barrel and slide, I'm at a loss as to its purpose. Maybe it produces a cool movie like muzzle flash effect.

Neither of the Strike Industries items are vented down, so they make more sense. In the video, they seem to work pretty well.
