Default Optics Cut Milling Reviews

This must have been discussed but I have no luck with Search.

I want an optics cut on my Shield Performance Center, 1st model

What is your experience with having your slides milled:
Who did the work?
Quality of the work?
ZEV posts installed?
Turn around time?
What finish did you choose?

I’ve used two different places- BattleWerx and Maple Leaf Firearms, but BattleWerx only works on GLOCK now.
Maple Leaf has done several GLOCK slides for me and the milling work is outstanding. Turn around time was never a concern, and I’m sure depends on your order timing. I’ve had them refinish a couple with their Black Oxide and that was also outstanding. Bear in mind that if you’re trying to save a few buck, refinishing the slide is not mandatory, as the cut/milled portion is covered by the optic and doesn’t show. YMMV.

Maple Leaf did my P365 and I am really happy with the results.

It isn't a Shield, but Bowie Tactical Concepts did my full size 1.0. I had to be reminded that the slide is stainless (DUH!) and refinish really isn't necessary. The optic will be covering the modified area. He buried my RMR deep so the iron sights didn't have to be really high.

Reporting back. I went with Impact Machine. They had a poor website and right after I ordered they changed it to a less informative website.

21 days from the time it was in their hands until it was back in mine. It would have been sooner but their cerakote guy had some personal problems. They broke the front site, but replaced it so I am happy.

The cerakote bronze was a bit darker than I expected. $224 for the cut, cerakote and shipping. If the pic doesn't show, I'll have to study up on how to post pics.
