M&P holster question
I am looking for a holster to fit a Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm 2.0 CORE Performance Center with a 5 inch barrel, factory suppressor height sights., and thumb safety. This will be used for range, IDPA competition, and possibly USPSA.
I have hit Safariland, blade tech, and Comp tac without luck. Red hill seams promising.
Features I am looking for in order of importance are:
Belt attachment options compatible with a drop offset option.
Preferably compatible with safariland QLS system. This pistol and holster has currently been adopted by a petite female for training and competitions until she decides on her preferred platform. She will likely need to experiment with drop offsets, and different heights and cants to find something that works. The light is present for low light training as well as additional muzzle weight. She may need to get a second holster without the light for certain competitions, but it would be preferable to only have one for now.
Optics compatible.
Streamlight TLR-HL compatible.
No thumb break or other active retention.
Questions:
If you are using an M&P with a light and optic what holster are you using?
Any manufacturer that make a holster that meets these requirements?
If I drop the light any additional options?
Thanks

Black Scorpion Gear lists competition holsters for that pistol with an optic, but not with a light.

I have one holster from Black Scorpion, which came up on a search for a holster for a Tanfoglio Stock 2. However, it is a paddle holster, not a "competition" type. I like it,-- it's well-made, functional, comfortable. It does its job, but I no longer have the pistol.
I probably will buy one of their "competition" style holsters for an S&W M&P40 M2.0 early next year, for use in Steel Challenge.

You might want to try this holster. They also offer a competition holster with Tek-Loc attachment, but not for a gun with a light. The owner is pretty accommodating, and might be willing to make the light holster with the Tec-Loc attachment.
I've got probably ten of his holsters and they're all top quality.

I had some problems finding a holster for my M&P 10mm 2.0 with Holosun 507C optic and Nightstick XM850 light. I ended up with a Blackhawk Omnivore kydex holster. It's easy to modify the holster for a great fit on your M&P, and price is very reasonable. Seems to work just fine!
I actually compete (Action Steel and USPSA) with a SIG P320X5 Legion 9mm, but I compete in Limited so no optic or light. I really like Blade-Tech, and I have a Blade-Tech belt, holster, and mag pouches. Their Engineering Dept. is open to suggestions, so perhaps contact them about a holster for your pistol and sight/light. I wasn't happy with their vertical-only mag pouches, so I redesigned a couple of mine to rotate to various angles for faster draw. I contacted Blade-Tech, sent them some photos, and they ended up designing their own rotating mag pouches. You never know!

Infidel, thanks for the feedback on Bkack scorpion. I have been seeing a lot of their ads in my searches but was not finding many reviews from owners/shooters. We will probably use this rig for steel, USPSA, and IDPA. I’ll take a second look at their gear. I will also need a rig for my Beretta, including mag pocnes and a belt. They seem to promote full rigs and my Beretta does not have a light rail so it should be easy to accommodate.
Chuck, thanks for the link. I looked around their site and they actually list exactly what I was looking for: M&P 2.0 with light, optic, thumb safety, and multi belt attachment compatibility. Perfect. I’m going to order one.
Hawg, impressive fabrication on those magazine pouches. I’ve beeen looking at Bladetec for mag pouches and full sets of competition gear. I’ve always liked their products. It will likely be between them, black scorpion, and DAa for my beretta rig and for mag pouches and belt for the M&P.

For others that might be looking here is the holster that JM makes that fits 5” M&P 2.0 with optic, light, thumb safety, and multi attachment compatibility.

Update. I ordered and received the JW holster promptly over a year ago. My daughter adopted the pistol and holster and has been winning local matches with it ever since. Both of us are very happy with the holster, the company and the purchasing process.
Definitely highly recommend this this holster and company.
