I can tell you the choice for a dot optic has a very tall base and seeing m&p tall sights is not going to happen . You have the option of a rear sight from luppy that attaches to there optic . Maybe you can get a tall enough front sight from Dawson - link below .
You will also learn with practice night sights have a very limited time frame that there useful like once its dark enough to need a handgun held or gun light to decide if you have good guys or bad guys down range and once that light once you turn it one the sight type you have does not matter that much . MY standard m&p white dots are black out rears and brite yellow testers painted front sight . My commander runs a gold dot .
