School me on M&P's (9L vs. Pro Series)

I have four M&P's (three pictured + the Bull Shark). The bottom one is a PC ported version. The other two are the 9L and the Pro Series 9mm.

I've replaced the trigger shoe on the 9L - that's not stock - but past that, everything else is.

What's the difference in these two? I read on S&W's site that the Pro Series have front cocking serrations - mine doesn't, so I'm guessing it's an earlier model before the current description?

Anything else I should know? What's the lineage/history here?
 
I'm sure I don't have all the spec right but the original L was just a 5" m&p then the PS version was supposed to have a few upgrades while the PC models was supposed to have some hand fitting but I doubt that'd true anymore at least at s&w .

I find that all can be dumb luck as to what one shots better between your 1.0 models and the 2.0 have there own upgrades . Honestly you can find the info your looking for as easily as I can . One of our M&P's is a pro series core 11 year old and in stock condition it was one sorry shooting handgun but found to be in spec at the time found after a trip home?

Thanks to an apex trigger kit and latter a bit later an apex gunsmith fit that was almost a drop needing only a couple thousandths off the hood to fit rather snuggly but ran reliably and turned that CORE into a very accurate pistol . My plane jane 40 was a far better shooter when stock all around .
 
I think the 9L was aimed at the SWAT market. I believe that most came with some LE only SKU number. A while back a whole bunch of them started popping up at auctions with little interest shown by buyers. I got mine with no box, papers, spare mags or backstraps for well under $300. On receipt I found it showed no signs of wear and was swimming in what looked like light shipping oil. Looked like a safe queen to me. Better trigger than my Aim Surplus 4.25" gun.
