Default S&W MP40 adding optics

I know I could have the slide milled to be able to add optics to my MP40, but where can I buy a replacement slide that is already milled?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not going to say that you'll never find a pre-milled M&P 40 slide somewhere, since there could be production overrun, but it's rather unlikely.

The most realistic way to mount an optic on your pistol is going to be sending your slide to be milled, or buying a slide from eBay, Numrich Gun Parts, or elsewhere, and having it milled. M&P 2.0s in 40 S&W are down to batch production, and the lack of availability of new pistols suggests that they haven't made a batch in a while.

I don't think you will find an optics ready slide anywhere near the cost of having yours cut (about $100).

OP if your not wanting to wait 2-3-4 months, I had my 45 2.0 done at Nameless Arms. $89

M&P slides are stainless so I didn't bother with cerakote.

Total time was 10 days shipping it out and getting it back from them.

They even send you a pic of it when it's done.

Had mine cut for a 507k.

I wish Smith would release optics ready versions of the M&P 2.0 .40 line.

CDNN has 5" 2.0 optics ready .40 slides. I recently built one in 357 SIG. It was cheap enough it was worth buying the slide. Also. I wanted a 5" 357.
