Default M&P 5.7 Mods

I sent one of my M&P 5.7 pistols off to forum member snw19_357 last week for shortening of the barrel and shroud. He did the work, test fired the pistol with two of his handloads with perfect results. I got it back last Friday and test fired it over the weekend with my mainstay ammo, factory FNH SS197SR (blue tip). Again perfect function and it even remained close to the original point of aim. I am very happy with the modification and the results. It is just exactly what I wanted. I will try to post photos but am having some trouble with the forum and I apologize ahead of time if the photos don't work out. Many thanks to snw19_357 for taking on this project and doing so in a timely manner and with perfect results.

Looks neater. I wondered if it would function ok with the barrel and nozzle of the tricky action shortened.

Happy to do it! I only have one (for now) so I was thrilled to be able to test the results of the modification first hand.
I was hesitant to shorten mine because if it didn't work, I would have been without one until I found a replacement.
I think the mod really improves the way the pistol looks.

I shot my altered 5.7 about 150 rounds in an organized training class yesterday evening and it ran perfectly. An added "plus", the gun now fits perfectly in my IWB holster.

That looks really nice. Speaking of modifying the 5.7. has anyone done a trigger job on one?
