Followed up my initial 100 FMJ round range session with a good , cleaning/lube.One More New BG 2.0 Review Returned to the range to put 200 FMJ (Fiocchi, SB, Magtech) and 75 JHP (Federal Punch, Hornady XTP) through the new Bodyguard 2.0.
The Good:
1) Again zero FTE/FTF all ammo fed and ejected fine. I repeated several full mag dumps (9 & 10 for the 10 & 12 rd mags) pulling the trigger as fast as I could and maintained solid center mass hits with no functional failures
2) The the slide stop became more slide release friendly using the tip of my strong hand thumb to press it down to drop the slide on a fresh loaded mag.
3) My accuracy improved as I became more familiar with the sights and maintaining a good consistent grip and not squeezing my pinkie. Using a "combat hold" sight picture with from sight covering the target. No shooting low and left
The Strange:
1) Early in the session had one instance of what I believe was the trigger not resetting. After taking a shot I went to pull the trigger and nothing. Dead trigger. Not thinking I didn't look to see if it was a light primer strike, but when I racked the slide again it reset the trigger and fired. I tried to recreate the problem lightly letting the trigger out, loose grip, etc, but it never happened again. Strange.
2) The trigger pull dropped from 4 lbs after the first 100 rd. outing to 3.75 lbs. after this 275 rd. session. The pull weight was measured 3X at that weight pulling mid way up the trigger. Action and reset feel great, just thought this is a very low pull weight for this gun. Strange.
3) Mags still impossible to full load by hand. Will get and Uplula universal loader and see if that helps till the springs break in.
Ready to put this pistol into my carry rotation. But somewhat hesitant due to the one possible failure to reset instance. I'll continue to shoot it at the range every few weeks to keep skill level up and monitor function.
