What's your feelings on the M&P .45 Compact? I like mine a lot. I was surprised that the recoil actually felt mild compared to a Colt Series 70. The thing is before I recommend it to a Friend I would like some ither opinions because I tend to like everything.

Like all previous reviewers, I like mine as well. I replaced the sights with Novak night sights and the trigger with an Apex tactical trigger. Easy to shoot, manageable recoil, and accurate. I do believe though S&W has discontinued the SKU 12105 and 12106, which are the two compact .45 models, so better not wait too long to grab one if you're interested.

It's a great shooter. Very pleasant and very nice.

Compar a m&p 45 2.0 compact to a kahr CT45 with a 4" barrel at Handgun Hero . Its smaller all around than the m&p compact 45 including price yet has the same mag capacity and is 45 super ready as it is if in dangerous game country . A small notch removed from the bottom front of the grip frame and it runs with most 1911 mags too . Trigger pull tend to end up in the high 4lb range after a few hundred dry fires or with live rounds !! . Smoother and lighter than DA revolver trigger and all though it is a da style trigger it is far smoother thana stock m&p trigger . I have one for foul weather carry .

I bought two 14 shot magazines for the M&P Compact and they work fine. I find myself carrying the .45 more and more. It fit's in the same Craft holster I bought for my Sig P320, another plus for a gun I bought on impulse.

I love my 45C. Unfortunately it’s gen 1, so I have to run talons for better grip. It does have the apex sear installed. It’s very accurate and fun to shoot.

Mine is a 1.0 with Heinie sights and an Apex forward set trigger kit.
The pistol shoots great, is accurate, and reliable as a hammer.
Very happy with it.

My impression is the same. My two Colt Series 70s stay in the safe since I got mine. Plus it's unreasonably accurate. :)

I reluctantly feel the same way. As much as I like my 1911 pistols, I grudgingly carry the .45 Shield. I don’t like plastic pistols, I don’t like the trigger, but I sure do appreciate a slim pistol that I can effortlessly carry in a caliber that I have a lot of respect for. A paradox - but throughout I am grateful to have this kind of choice and that live in a place where I can make this kind of decision and have this kind of flexibility. Many don’t.
