The UpLula is far and away the industry leader.
Caution: There are "generic" copies on Amazon and outright counterfeits right down to the package label.
I tried a Ludex but did not like it as well, which greatly upset the vendor when I said so in Amazon review.
A friend likes the Speedbeez but they are gun-specific.

Another vote for Uplula here. I have semi-auto pistols chambered in .380, 9mm, .40, .357 SIG, and .45. I have loaded approximately 50,000 rounds into the magazines of these pistols with my single Uplula over the last 10 years, and it is still as good as new. Uplula is an Israeli design. It is simple, sturdy, and quite frankly, ingenious. And who needs a fast and reliable magazine loader more than the Israelis? Go with Uplula.

I designed one just for the Shield Plus mags to print. It is on Thingiverse under roc2it. Prints great and easy. Cost almost nothing to print. The file is free to download. Cheers! If you print it let me know what ya think!

Another vote for the UpLula. One replaced four different ammo/brand specific loaders I had, and works better than any of the others.

I generally unload mags by shooting the contents.
I'm curious to know you use it to unload them.

Here's another vote for Uplula. I have two of the model sold for 9mm to .45ACP. They also work on my 380 magazines.
And yes, they also work to unload magazines. The tab on the fixed side will push out rounds faster than you can unload by hand. I use it to unload hollow-points (home self-defense) when I take a mag to the range, since I shoot FMJ for practice.

I use upulas as well.
What I've found is the black version grows legs at match's or classes.
I've yet to have someone steal a yellow or pink one.

Also easier to find in the confines of a dark bag or pistol case. Those black ones disappear.

Been using the UpLula since 2010.
Single Stack, Stagger Stack, From .380 on up to .45.
There's some sort of 'adaptor' out there for single stacks (?), but I've not needed one.

Definitely a bright colored Uplula. Black ones disappear in range bags and drawers.

If you are loading half dozen mags, the Uplula is a great choice. However, I learned last week at a machine gun shoot, if you are going to be loading dozens of mags over and over, look into getting a Mag Pump Pro magazine loader. It has adapters for most 9mm mags and can load a 15 round mag in around 30 seconds. Just make sure it's mounted to something sturdy.

I have no idea what tab you're talking about, but if it works for you, that's great.

Just bought another Uplula, this one is specifically for calibers .22LR up through .380 acp. Probably didn't need is, but I wanted it.

sodacan, you can unload a magazine in seconds with it. Lock the UpLula closed, hold it down on a flat surface and drag the magazine up the groove on the back, contacting the "nub" with the rear of the loaded round. It will push the round out. Also you can hold the UpLula in your hand and drag it across the magazine held in the other hand. Same result.

Will these Uplula loaders work in Colt nine mm magazines?
I am referring to the Colt pattern magazines for their AR style carbines.

Heh-heh, in 60 years of shooting I have been to a total of 4 "3+ position selector" events. I would very much like to need a "Mag Pump Pro." Joe

Okay - I see your instruction has a copyright date of 2007. I'm wondering now if your Uplula even has the unloading tab? They could have made changes during the last 17 years.
Mine are 2020 and 2021.

Like most everybody else here . . . . Uplula. It works great on everything I have. If you shoot single stack guns, buy the adapter plate for the bottom. All it does is narrow the opening to make a magazine fit more snugly. They even give you a small ring to attach the adapter to the loader. Snap the adaptor in place for single-stack and let it dangle for double-stack.

Uplula all the way, these are so good you have to be careful when at public ranges as people like to steal them.
buy them in pink, after buying the pink Uplula no one has stolen mine.

I use the Uplula with the single stack adapter that I filed out to fit the Bodyguard 2.0 magazines. Keeps them aligned better. Available with a Google search.
