Default Production halt "Rumor"

Local dealer saying that S&W has or will stop production of this rifle. Anyone have "inside scoop" or heard the same?

Stop production on a rifle that's only been in production for a couple months? Seems unlikely...

Not a chance. The in-house work might get reduced, and they are certainly receiving parts from outside vendors. But, as with all things S&W; the projected sales can not be discounted, and there has already been a massive cost outlay to start production on these.
They will not stop production, merely reduce it for a bit.
