Hey guys, I have the CA edition MP10, I want to put on the MOE rifle stock to replace my collapsible stock.

My question is can I just buy the MOE stock and switch the collapsible stock out with out changing my buffer extension and spring etc.

The MP10 camo (hunting) rifle comes with the MOE rifle stock, and I read somewhere that somebody said S&W told them they use the same extension and tube etc. Which leaves me thinking I can just switch the stocks out without messing with the tube and spring.

But Magpul's site says "NOTE: The MOE Rifle Stock is a direct replacement for an A1 or A2 fixed stock. Fitting to a carbine with a collapsible stock will require a rifle-length receiver extension tube, rifle buffer and spring (not included)."

Hope that made sense.

Thanks guys and gals.

Hi,

I just put one of those on a MA compliant, which is the same setup as yours, but my adjustable stock is pinned. You will need a new A2 milspec buffer tube (dpms works fine), and appropriate buffer & spring. I had a gunsmith put it on, as I was having him do other stuff as well. It's very nice on this rifle.
