I've only shot my M&P 10 once since putting the PWS FCS30 on, but it ran great. It does work, definitely less felt recoil and muzzle rise. It makes for one loud gun, though, but I knew what to expect as I have one on my SCAR 17S where it comes stock.

I am very happy with the Surefire SOCOM on my Sig 716 and as soon as my M&P 10 gets here it will get one too.
Way less recoil and Way less muzzle climb and it does not negatively impact the rifles accuracy at all.
I don't know what it does to the person beside me as I have my own backyard range so I very seldom have any one shooting beside me.

+1 on the Battlecomp. I put one on my M&P10 after about 100 rounds with the stock one. What a difference. not so terrible for the guy next to you either.

Tacticool22 Muzzle Brake
I just ordered my muzzle brake from Tacticool22. Figured I'd give it a shot. I'll ultimately change it for one that accepts a suppressor like the Silencerco Specwar system but I need one now and these seem great. I'll post photos once installed. Hopefully it is sent USPS Priority which is typically 2 day. Hope to have by weekend. Fingers crossed!

Please let me know how that brake works for you. I'm curious as to how big of a difference it'll make over the stock hunk of metal.

I have a Tacticool on my M&P10.This is the only riflle I have shot with a brake so I cant say if its any better than the other brakes out there.I can report that it has reduced muzzle jump and felt recoil.I did load development before installing this break and was concerned I might have to re do that but rifle shot to POA and improved my groupings.I would recommend this break.Nice finish and function.I will be purchasing another.

I just tried out my JP Enterprises Recoil Eliminator at the range today.
JP Enterprises Recoil Eliminator
All I can say is I LOVE IT! After shooting a 100 rounds last weekend and having my shoulder beat to h*ll today was very enjoyable.

Now that is a brake(break) !
I have the tacticool, and my thoughts on it are that it is a compensator to reduce rise and hop off target. I really cannot find anything about it that suggests it as a break?
Going through an exersize for another reason, I did a quick switch with the stock flash hider and found no real difference in recoil(seat of pants measures) , yet I was not testing for compensation, yet I would tend to believe it does work due to design principals.
I doubt be will ever see actual test specs on any of these things, so they are what they are. Now I want the smaller JP thingie!

I just bought a BCM MOD 1 7.62 comp for my MP10. Got a few questions and need some help. Can I use the same armorers wrench I use on my .223 AR15's? Is there a .308 version of this wrench?

Brownell's sells an AR10 specific wrench. I'm not sure if it is needed for the muzzle brake but it is needed for the barrel nut since the barrel is bigger at that end.

They are different thread size, so may not work. A standard open end wrench worked fine for me, nothing special, think it was 3/4 in. but not sure.

For the record, Surefire finally came through. The order was direct and placed in December. It arrived in the first week of March. It was shipped from the west coast to Alabama. Curiously, the shipper brought it all the way Memphis then it was routed back to the origin then back to Alabama. That muzzle brake has crossed the country 3 times.
