Default Seeking Advice - M&P 10 Quad Rails

Need a few "Quad Rail" recommendations for my new Smith & Wesson M&P 10 from any members who have successfully swapped out factory parts with another rail system.

Price under $150.00 please (or my wife will divorce me).

Manufacturers Name & Part Model #'s would be super helpful.

Thanks,

vfin

The M&P 10 is compatible with DPMS Low profile rail systems. S&W recommends Troy or Apex.

The M&P is a mid length gas system. You'll also need a low profile gas block if you want a longer rail.

Think $200 - $250.

Edited to add: I'm talking about free floating rails. There may be drop-in quad rails in your price range or less.

Good luck.

Default M&P10 Drop in Quad Rails

I have searched high and low trying to find a mid length drop in quad rail for my M&P10 with no luck. I have purchased 4 different rails. Whenever I find someone who says "oh yeah I got one that will fit perfectly" and then after about an hour of them trying to get it to work, I get a refund and a I'm sorry it didn't work. All the drop ins seem to be just a hair to long and will not work. 90% of the the gun shops and gunsmiths are telling me I have to do a complete modify and go with free floating barrel and a full length quad rail and change this and that.. I was hoping to keep it as close to original as possible. I just wanted to be able to mount a forward pistol grip/ bi pod to the front and maybe a light/laser to the side. Is there ANYONE out there that has a drop in quad rail that will work for this rifle?

UTG / Leapers has one coming out this month. I bought the wrong one as it only fits the triangular handguards. Wrote to Leapers and said it would be out in June for one with round hanfguard mount. I paid ~$70 for it--looks nice shame it doesn't fit.
I did find a Troy MRF-308 13.8 in. for 198.00 it's free floating and rifle length--but you would need to replace the gas block with a low profile.
In the end I decided to wring every bit of possible accuracy out of the M&P 10 so I went with a free floating.

How about an alternate way to achieve a better result with NO HASSLES?

Ben, MAGPUL makes a handguard that is tapped to add MAGPUL rails...and best part is... it is designed specifically for the M&P10.

Not many people 'round here know about it, so there ya go!

Check it out by calling MAGPUL.

Google "DAMAGE" Quad rails. They have one that will work, it is not free floating. I believe I first saw it on this forum. At this time I use a MOE and added Magpul rails.

Just purchased my DamageUSA Quad Rail ($89). Waiting for shipment.

Saw it mentioned here in a forum thread and it's advertised to fit MP10

Damage quad rail is about a 1/8" to long. Pushes the gas block off its hole and that creates problems with feeding. I'll be sending mine back as soon as I find the receit.
