New Magpul Mag?
Heard a rumor that the reason we can't get PMAG LR 20s is that they are coming out with a new version. I am happy with the current version but can't find any more. Any truth to that and is there reason for hope?

Magpul changes something about their design about every 10 months.
Gotta do something to make people who already own a dozen indestructible mags want to buy a dozen more indestructible mags.

I read that too a couple of months ago. Haven't seen any of the new ones yet either.
I did find some LR20's recently and I'm pretty sure the link was posted on here somewhere. Maybe do a search for PM Mags?? Never mind - it was Bayou Tactical, and they are currently sold out, but do check back often, as that is what I did and they had some about every 4th day???

Maybe you can drive a tank over the new mags instead of just a pickum up truck.

Magpul lists a 25 round (25LR) on the site as "coming mid 2013".

I need a good 5 round mag. We are limited to 5 rounds in Oregon.
I hope MAGPUL will make blocked 10 round mags for these like they do for the AR-15

That would be great seems we have a hard time getting S&W mags. If they work as great as the S&W mags this will be fantastic. Looks like I'll have to buy 10 more when they come out.

While we're on the subject of magazine. Has anyone had any luck with the factory supplied ASC 10 rounders? Neither of my rifles will feed correctly with the factory ASC 10 rounders. The Magpul 20's feed just fine in both rifles.

Once fully clean and very wet with oil-- both of my M&P 10s work equally well with Magpul or the factory 10 rounder. Might be they are tough to break in, or they need lots of oil. Maybe I'll let one get dry and see.

After studying the 10 rounder I see a few design problems. Not much time to go into detail today. We'll see what S&W has to say.

arkadan:
thanks for the heads up on Bayou Tactical. I got on their waiting list but then screwed up and looked around their site and found a good deal on 8 packs of 5.56 Magpuls with cheap shipping. Ordered this morning and got a shipping notice within 2 hours that a box went out, headed a mi casa.

Magpul debuted the new 25 round magazine at this years SHOT Show, but they have yet to produce it. With the run on 5.56 PMags, I'm sure they cut back on the production of the .308 mags.
As they are starting to flow out slowly now, I think the .308 mags will be coming in greater numbers soon.

Yeah, and if I am correct, isn't Magpul in the process of moving their production out of Colorado and in to more gun friendly states? That could certainly have an impact on product availability.
