There is a difference between the PRS stocks. The riser for the cheek rest is situated further back to avoid the longer charging handle interference with charging the weapon.

Both will fit on the buffer tube, it's just he cheek piece.

You want the low profile Troy rail. It is the one that makes the factory rail line up with the hand guard.

Armalite is a manufacturer of firearms, and was the original designer of the AR type rifle, hence the AR-15, AR-10. It does not stand for "assault rifle" as most uninformed people would lead you to believe.

ok thanks for the help ... i will not be getting that prs stock after all

but one more thing .. i was talking to a few friends who are into firearms .. and they told me .. that i would have to change the buffer tube and spring to fit the prs stock ..

If you already have a fixed stock then nothing changes. If you're going from a collapsible stock to fixed then you need a standard A1 or A2 buffer tube AND the S&W spacer. With those things you can reuse the stock spring and buffer that came with your collapsible stock.

I did this on mine and it works just fine.

where do i get those buffering tubes ... ? and the spacer

You can get a A2 buffer tube just about any where. I bought mine from Midway.

For the spacer just call S&W customer support and tell them this part number: 432270000
